1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes conduct that is prohibited on ascendbiolabs.com and any related services (the “Site”). It supplements — but does not replace — our Terms of Service, and any violation is a material breach of those Terms.

2. Prohibited Conduct

You agree that you will not, and will not attempt to:

Access and automation

  • use any automated means — bot, crawler, scraper, headless browser, scripted agent, AI agent, or similar — to access, query, or retrieve content from the Site, except for well-behaved public search-engine indexers operating within the rules of our robots.txt;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of any part of the Site or any software we make available;
  • bypass, disable, interfere with, or circumvent any access controls, rate limits, bot-detection systems, CAPTCHAs, or security features;
  • probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site or any associated system without our prior written authorization;
  • copy, download, mirror, or systematically extract data (including pricing, product listings, images, COAs, or reviews) for any purpose other than a single personal copy for your own research evaluation;
  • use the Site as the source for training any machine-learning, AI, or generative model without our prior written consent;
  • impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure.

Account and payment abuse

  • create more than one account for yourself, share an account with another person, or use another person's account without permission;
  • register with false, inaccurate, or misleading information — including false researcher affiliation (see Terms of Service, Section 9);
  • initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us in good faith and giving us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue, or initiate a chargeback for any reason contrary to our Return & Refund Policy;
  • use stolen, unauthorized, or mismatched payment methods;
  • use any promotional code, referral program, or affiliate program in a manner inconsistent with its stated rules.

Content and harassment

  • submit any content (reviews, comments, messages) that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or invasive of another's privacy;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
  • make any therapeutic, medical, diagnostic, or efficacy claim about any Product — including in reviews, comments, social-media posts referencing the Site, or customer-service communications;
  • harass our staff, make threats, or engage in abusive communications with our support team.

Interference and illegality

  • introduce viruses, worms, malware, or any other malicious code to the Site;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, network, or data;
  • use the Site in violation of any applicable law, regulation, or the rights of any third party;
  • use the Site to engage in fraud, money laundering, sanctions evasion, or any other illegal activity.

3. Remedies For Violations

Violation of this AUP is a material breach of our Terms of Service. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without notice, to:

  • remove, restrict, or edit offending content;
  • suspend or permanently terminate your account;
  • cancel any pending order and refuse any future order;
  • ban your payment method, shipping address, IP address range, and any other identifier reasonably associated with the violation;
  • pursue any civil remedy available to us, including injunctive relief, damages, and recovery of our costs and attorneys' fees;
  • cooperate with, or refer the matter to, law enforcement.

4. Reporting Abuse

If you observe conduct on the Site that appears to violate this AUP, please report it to [abuse@ascendbiolabs.com]. Please include as much detail as possible, including URLs, timestamps, and usernames where relevant.
